Between the "City" and De la Plata River, there lies Puerto Madero, docks and old depots completely restored

RECOLETA AND PALERMO

 An elegant neighborhood with its famous cemetery, the colonial church of Our Mother of Pilar, and its nearby commercial and cultural center. Palermo is one of the largest neighborhoods and, due to its parks and tree galleries, it is also one of the most beautiful. It provides three visiting tours: the woods and the lakes. Small Palermo: the Zoo, the Botanic Garden and the Rural Society Estate. ,And the nostalgic Old Palermo, better known as the Palermo of Borges and Carriego. The Argentine Horse Racetrack, Polo tournaments or “Pato” (typically Argentine sport) competitions  in the Argentine Polo Field evidence the love for horse sports.

THE MYTH OF GARDEL AND TANGO

His history can be found in El Abasto Market, which has been restored and turned into a large shopping center, and Chacarita Cemetery. “His” tango songs still sound in each corner.

Tango: it emerged ant the end of the XIX century as a merge of different rhythms danced to in the suburbs. Thanks to the nostalgia and melancholy brought by the immigrants, tango greatly evolved and gave birth to artist such as Astor Piazzola and Aníbal Troilo.

THE COMMERCIAL AREA AND THE CITY

Florida Promenade is an important commercial area whose first stretch merges with the "City", main financial district. After crossing Corrientes Avenue, beyond the Argentine Rural Society and the Richmond Café, between Lavalle Street and  9 de Julio Ave. we can find great Argentine barbecue restaurants and many movie theaters. Santa Fe Avenue is also a shopping street. In San Martín Square we find some of the most relevant mansions and of the city.
